weightlifting fairy kim bok jo

hello my fellow kdrama fans! i just finished watching weightlifting fairy kim bok jo and I LOVE IT!! LOVE IT!!
when i found out the two leads were dating in real life i was sad for a bit cause i also want to date Nam Joo Hyuk (HE'S SO HANDSOME!!) but now i ship them because they look so good together.
They look perfect together! im screaming!
It's 16 episodes, each an hour long but if you have the time, i highly recommend you to watch it. I watched it on iflix but i think you should be able to see it on dramafever too.
the show's about kim bok jo, a weightlifter in a sports university. she's the ace of her team and her dad sells fried chicken. she doesnt consider herself pretty cause she's strong and eats a lot but jeong joon hyung, a very handsome guy and swimmer with abs falls for her and they end up being together forever!!
my favourite part for comedy is when they were crossing the street and a car ran over a puddle and he used her as a shield so she got drenched!
the best romantic part for me is when she and her team were on a hunger strike during winter. they were in a fight but he was still so worried for her and went to find her to give her his jacket and heating pads and he begged her to not overwork herself.
the last kdrama i watched before this one was who are you school 2015. when joon hyung appeared in weightlifting fairy, i knew he was Han Yi Ahn. i just saw him swim and i knew it was him. such a heartthrob!! his hair looked better as yi ahn but still. so he's had 2 of roughly the same roles, maybe more to come?
i like the message encrypted somewhere in the drama. that you dont need to look like other girls to be beautiful. you dont need to have a mannequin figure to find love because bok jo was strong and she was so well loved. joon hyung saw her for who she was and not what she looked like and it was her warmth that he liked. you just need a beautiful personality.
overall it is a fantastic drama and you'll even love the minor characters with their own back stories.
im sure every girl, just like me, wishes for a guy like joon hyung. tall, strong, and so caring, so loyal and so funny. the fantasy isnt bad, but the reality is that it's never as easy as in the drama.
in the drama she's a better athlete than him but he still supports her and wholeheartedly supported her when she made the cut for the national team while he didnt. in my experience, no guy ever wants a girl to be better than him. this will sound very arrogant of me but a point must be made. in highschool i was bullied by most guys (and a few girls) in my class because they didnt like that i performed better. i even cried plenty.
pause. fast forward. and i ended up better. so dont let the boys(or girls) intimidate you in school or in anything you dream of doing. the effort it takes to succeed will come from you so it's all on you and not at all on them.
