i wish i knew this when i was in high school

hello internet, this post is a serious one and i hope some of you can learn something by the end of this post.
a little less than a month ago i had a farewell in school because your girl right here has graduated! yeah! i was talking to my best friend (you guys still dont know her name because she's shy) and i realise i was doing most of the talking (as usual) so out of courtesy i asked what was up with her. she answer was, "nothing much. just something sad happened". hoping i would be able to cheer her up or even fix what was upsetting here i asked if she would tell me what the issue with her was. she said she couldnt tell me and i let it go for the night.
the next day i asked her is she wanted to talk about it and she gave me a strong no and said it was not worth talking about and i shouldnt pry. i wasnt hurt or anything because she's my BEST friend and i had the best intentions to help her as best as i could.
i tried putting myself in her shoes and i learnt something i wish i knew while i was in high school!!
so when i was in high school, if something bad happened like i was wrongly scolded by a teacher or if one of the mean boys made me cry in school, once i finished crying, i would immediately find a group of random people or get on my phone to get on whatsapp or facebook to tell people what just happened. i dont understand why i used to do that but i think maybe it was because i liked being in the spotlight.
doing that was the worst thing i could have ever done to myself. here's why:
  1. every time i had to repeat the story, the magnitude of the issue grew bigger and bigger on my mind. like it was harder and harder to forget and get over with it.
  2. once the so-called friends heard my story they would often bombard me with questions, forcing me to review whatever traumatic experience i had just gone through. Here you can tell what shitty so-called friends i had in high school (mostly boys and i have cut ties with them and i felt so light after).
this is a true story that i had to tweak a bit else it's too long and to unrelatable:
Unnamed Person said and did some mean things to me and i was so hurt and just so coincidentally Stranger A texts me and asks how im doing so me being how i was i had to retell everything that happened. once i finished, i was hit with the stupidest questions in the world like, 'is it true?' , 'to what extent did he verbally abuse you?', 'why and where did it happen?'
after answering all the questions to the Stranger, i sorta expected some sort of help to get back at my bully or being shown some care. any help honestly. here's what happened, the Stranger did not care in the least, and everyone in school found out and had their own interpretation of what had happened between me and the bully.
i was so mad like boiling mad and the bloody ass even had to ask me, 'is it true?'. like would i freaking lie about being abused!! i never knew people could be this inconsiderate until i met my year 11 class. this sort of thing happened really often with me. too often. and it brought me a lot, A LOT, of unhappiness while i was in school. if i had know then that these people i thought were friends were just brainless busy bodies, i wouldnt have told anyone.
the lesson here is that not everyone cares and not everyone deserves to know what you are going through because most "friends" dont care about you. you are strong enough to go through your troubles by yourself. even if it may get a bit too hard, always turn to family first! FAMILY FIRST. they genuinely care about you and give you more than the help you will need to get through whatever you are going through.
this is what i wish i knew. YOU DO NOT NEED PEOPLE WHO YOU BARELY KNOW TO KNOW EVERYTHING ABOUT YOU BECAUSE THOSE CLASSMATES NEVER REALLY WANTED TO HELP YOU. REPEATING THE STORY ONLY MAKES MATTERS WORSE! THE MATTER WILL GET BIGGER AND WEIGH MORE ON YOUR SHOULDERS THE MORE PEOPLE KNOW!
this is what i want the asses in my high school year to know: you guys did not have to know if you didnt care! you guys are the most inconsiderate bunch of people i ever saw. why did you have to drill me over what i was upset about! couldnt you guys just listened? JUST LISTEN AND DONT ASK ANYTHING!

weightlifting fairy kim bok jo

hello my fellow kdrama fans! i just finished watching weightlifting fairy kim bok jo and I LOVE IT!! LOVE IT!!
when i found out the two leads were dating in real life i was sad for a bit cause i also want to date Nam Joo Hyuk (HE'S SO HANDSOME!!) but now i ship them because they look so good together.
They look perfect together! im screaming!
It's 16 episodes, each an hour long but if you have the time, i highly recommend you to watch it. I watched it on iflix but i think you should be able to see it on dramafever too.
the show's about kim bok jo, a weightlifter in a sports university. she's the ace of her team and her dad sells fried chicken. she doesnt consider herself pretty cause she's strong and eats a lot but jeong joon hyung, a very handsome guy and swimmer with abs falls for her and they end up being together forever!!
my favourite part for comedy is when they were crossing the street and a car ran over a puddle and he used her as a shield so she got drenched!
the best romantic part for me is when she and her team were on a hunger strike during winter. they were in a fight but he was still so worried for her and went to find her to give her his jacket and heating pads and he begged her to not overwork herself.
the last kdrama i watched before this one was who are you school 2015. when joon hyung appeared in weightlifting fairy, i knew he was Han Yi Ahn. i just saw him swim and i knew it was him. such a heartthrob!! his hair looked better as yi ahn but still. so he's had 2 of roughly the same roles, maybe more to come?
i like the message encrypted somewhere in the drama. that you dont need to look like other girls to be beautiful. you dont need to have a mannequin figure to find love because bok jo was strong and she was so well loved. joon hyung saw her for who she was and not what she looked like and it was her warmth that he liked. you just need a beautiful personality.
overall it is a fantastic drama and you'll even love the minor characters with their own back stories.
im sure every girl, just like me, wishes for a guy like joon hyung. tall, strong, and so caring, so loyal and so funny. the fantasy isnt bad, but the reality is that it's never as easy as in the drama.
in the drama she's a better athlete than him but he still supports her and wholeheartedly supported her when she made the cut for the national team while he didnt. in my experience, no guy ever wants a girl to be better than him. this will sound very arrogant of me but a point must be made. in highschool i was bullied by most guys (and a few girls) in my class because they didnt like that i performed better. i even cried plenty.
pause. fast forward. and i ended up better. so dont let the boys(or girls) intimidate you in school or in anything you dream of doing. the effort it takes to succeed will come from you so it's all on you and not at all on them.

the dog story

Hi there! if you knew me for a long enough time, you would know that i only ever had one dog in my life and his name was max. he ran away while we were on vacation because we left other people incharge of him. he might be dead, in not sure, but here's his story!

i got max from my dad's friend who had 2 dogs at first, angel (max's mom) and shadow (the boss dog). They took shadow in first. he was a stray and he had issues. he attacked a couple of humans, mauled another dog close to death and was just a really bad dog. animal planet used to air this show, dog whisperer: cesar milan. basically a family with a dog with issues calls him, he walks up to them and whispers for a bit and they become the world's best dog. shadow would have taken up an entire season of his show. he just couldnt behave! as neighbours complained, the owners didnt know what to do and considered putting him down. because of his inability to play nice, the front gate always had to be closed else a stray might walk into an attack.
one fateful day, the gate was left open by accident and a small and super cute dog struts in and when the humans found her, she was playing nice with shadow and shadow was visibly a lot calmer and better behaved when she was around. the sudden change in character shocked everyone. it was a 360 turn around and it just happened overnight. he didnt have any crazy episodes with her. its like she screwed his head back in place. course they had to adopt angel too!
shadow was a clean dog so he and angel didnt have any puppies but there was a black stray that took her away from shadow. the black stray and angel had twin puppies, sam and max (my puppy). sam was tall and just the chill-est dog ever but max had a very feisty spirit.
shadow and angel had this really special connection i could tell.
one day a friend's house got robbed and the homeowner didnt feel safe so shadow was lent to that family for a few weeks with the role of guard dog. seems being separated from angel was too much for him because he died a few days later. apparently of a broken heart. she must have missed him very much too cause she died shortly after him. sam lived for a little while more but then he died too.
now the reason why im telling you guys this story is because i thought it would make such a good plot for a drama or a story so feel free to use this piece of inspiration right here. i'll see if i can make a kids book out of this but the whole everyone-died-in-the-end might be a bit to morbid.
also i think we can learn a bit from here other than dogs are really social animals. say this was going on in the human world too. DONT EVER BE LIKE ANGEL.
it's great that it worked out for her but girls, dont you ever approach a wild crazy dude. bad boys are the worst people on the planet, a bad influence that you dont need in your life. surround yourself with good people and if you think you can change that 17 or 18 year old boy that seems so special to you, reality is YOU CANNOT! IT IS IMPOSSIBLE
how bout you focus on yourself? better yourself and always strive to be a valuable member of society.
i want to end by saying that a girl with a bubbly personality is always so cute! next post in a while more!

sick day

heyyyy internet! have you eaten? i just had my breakfast of pork and carrot porridge and warm honey water. my throat is sore and my nose is giving me a lot of snot but im on meds. i was feeling a little off last thursday but i couldnt do anything myself so i thought i might recover in time. and here i am still sick. i went to a new doctor yesterday and the experience was so weird. so we reached the clinic at 4 ish and then the register lady said the doc wasnt in and we had to wait half an hour and they dont reserve spots so we planned to go get milk after the doc but i suggested we get the milk first and come back after. thing is when we got back the clinic was full and we had to wait about half an hour for our turn anyways hah! and when i met this new doctor he did not seem really professional and he ignored me for 5 minutes because he was on the phone probably talking to a drinking mate.
yesterday i was dizzy for a very big part of it but i did some really fun stuff. i made a youtube video and i read books! fun! you can watch my video right here .
now that i have a facebook account, i feel like i should share my videos there too but thing about that is that im shy.
i ate some really nice things yesterday too. i had kimchi fried rice for lunch and tea and spaghetti for dinner but the best meal yesterday would have to be supper. i had mashed potatoes and i love mash potatoes a lot. mom made them special with love and that's why they're so yummy. her recipe should be patented.
also for breakfast yesterday i tried some holland coffee and it was so good! the powder was really big and i doubted that it would dissolve easily but it did and it smelled really great too.
i actually have a puzzle waiting for me but im constantly dizzy so havent got to it yet. its really cute and i will upload pictures when i can!

spiderman: homecoming review

yesternight i watched the new superman i didnt think highly of it because i was a huge fan of andrew garfield!! this cast was so entirely different from the amazing spiderman but im not mad about it.
but i'll lay out my issues first, in bullet points!

  • iron man made his costume?! why did he not make it himself?
  • no Gwen?!
  • a young-sexy aunt May? what?
  • the cast is NOT made of actual teens and the love interest is 30 years old n real life?!
i'll tell you what i do like about it now!

  • peter parker is cute
  • iron man is cute
  • ned, my goodness, NED is super cute!
  • the stan lee cameo
it's called homecoming because he asks the girl he likes to homecoming and her dad turns out to be the protagonist that hates spidy. there's too many costume changes and i liked it better when there was no avengers involved. also i dont really understand the point of zendeya's character? what does she do? maybe she'll like spiderman in the sequel. who knows?

im back and birthday#19

hello people on the web! it has been 9 long years(days) since my last post and it's been too long. i have so much going on in my life that i barely have time to breathe. i miss my laptop and i miss blogging.
let's see...
i read this book i got in KL titled: DEFY THE STARS! it's about a human and a robot falling in love but it doesnt work out for them anyways. sorta like that movie that robin williams was in a long time ago. i think it's called Bicentennial Man! the ending was he got to marry a human girl who was the inventors granddaughter and when she died, he 'died' too!
also on FRIDAY i celebrated my 19th!!!!! im a 19 year old!! im still going to be a teenager for the next decade though! im a teenager!! the day time of the day wasnt the best so i decided to flush out any memory of the day before 6pm and remember how happy i was 6pm onwards!
DINNER WAS AWESOME! mom took us to DAON DA , a korean bbq place and it was fantastic! they grilled the pork right in front of us and it was amazing! smells were good and the sides were good too. the best was this sweet spicy anchovies but the kimchi was good too!
SIX SIDES (FRIED TOFU, CHILI CUCUMBERS, KIMCHI, ANCHOVIES, BRINJAL, SPINACH)
BBQ PORK, BBQ CHICKEN, GRILL MUSHROOMS AND ONIONS

YUMMY ICE CREAM TREAT FROM THE GORGEOUS SISTER

THE HAPPY BIRTHDAY GIRL

SEAFOOD PANCAKE

BULBOGI BIMBAP! RICE IS GREAT. IT'S BEEF

so you can tell it was a delicious meal! i will make a video of my gifts after this. look forward to it.
my celebration lasted for 2 dinners so the next day dinner was at nandos because i super love nandos! it was a great time with the people i love!

i watched WONDER WOMAN. it was really good and i think everyone will like it. the main's really pretty and i so predicted the boyfriend's noble death in the end but really cool details overall.
i ate at MORGANFIELDS. it's this new ribs place that opened not long ago in ipoh. best ribs ever! they fell off the bone and the sauce was like so good. it was basically just really yummy. also i met the cutest waiter ever! he was really small and cute. like he had a really nice face.
my IFLIX subscription expired! boo

i went to IKEA to have some MEATBALLS! they were so niceee it was almost worth the hour wait.
so many new updates isnt it!
i got a new PUZZLE as a gift which is the highlight of all updates!! makes me so happy!
