new asus vivobook laptop and big eyes

hello gorgeous people, I'm writing this blog from the mantao's computer again but i actually have a new laptop. Thanks to my super cool daddy who picked out the world's best laptop for me.πŸ’ i just got my asus vivobook A412 last weekend and it's a classy grey clour that i love. for a long while, I had problems with getting my Microsoft office 2013 to work on my new laptop and i just got them resolved this morning. my office licence was a permanent one and i didn't know how to transfer them to my new laptop even after deleting it off my old laptop. this morning it all worked out and im so happy to have that finally resolved.
i love this laptop! it unlocks with a fingerprint sensor and its so lightweight. the frame around the screen is so slim so you get most out of the 14''. the keyboard lights up so it has that super cool gaming computer vibe but i turned that off for now cause i have it feeling itll drain my battery and i can see the keys just as well. the memory is pretty big so if i wanted to game itll totally work out for me. i actually have a few games already downloaded. one i really like is iron snout and its about a ninja pig fighting off blade-wielding wolves.\
so far ive been using the laptop for watching my netflix and the graphics are all super good and the sound too. i havent tried using the webcam yet but i will get that tested soon when i try streaming.
today i had a little bit of a late start cause i was just so exhausted that i only woke up when my mantao called me. we also went out to breakfast today and got noodles. its been a while since we had a breakfast date actually and i had a lot of funπŸ’“
we did a bunch of chores too like getting food, changing a broken container and getting the car cleaned. im so thankful that mantao accompanies me on these errand trips because its sometimes a lot to deal with on my own with parking and carrying stuff in and out. he does get tired sometimes and i understand because hes been so busy with his schoolwork. im so blessed.
mantao s also not feeling well this week cause he has an eye infection. hes on antibiotics and getting better now and the swelling has gone down. his eyes were actually big and hurting a few weeks ago but it went off after he used some eyedrops. it came back and we got it checked. he will get better soon, in time for our super road trip to kl this weekend. its been a while since we ve done a trip and he deserves a fun, relaxing time for all his hard work and effort hes been putting into his mushroom thesis. i'll keep finding ways to do surprises for him cause i really like doing itπŸ’“πŸ’“πŸ’“im so excited. i need to get on pinterest nowww....
see you later alligator.

laptop and bird problems

hello gorgeous people!! im doing this post on a whole new setting. my laptop totally gave up on me like a week back so now im depending on my mantao's computer and maybe the PC's in the library. i kinda like my mantao's computer cause its big and the tippy tappy sounds of this super keyboard makes me feel like im using an old typewriter thing and the lights are pretty cool too.
so i was halfway through an assignment when suddenly there was a black stripe across my screen and turning it off and on didnt get rid of it. i took it to an asus service center but they said it would cost 450 and take about a week to get it fixed. my laptop is about 5 years old right now and maybe its time to get a new one but i really liked my asus zenbook. i bought it just before my GCSE exams and i i studied so hard and got really good grades so i thought it was a lucky laptop. also i have butterfly stickers on it and i like them cause i got them on a butterfly farm trip with my dad.
i managed to get my assignment done and soon i will need to get slides done too. ive been looking into new laptops now and i havent found one in particular that i like yet. i dont have many requirements for a new laptop cause its mostly for work and messaging and streaming but i dont game and need all the fancy speed stuff.
today in particular i really missed my laptop cause i really wanted to edit a video i just filmed. its a mukbang of me eating a giant pizza jelly. i guess ill just put pause on that for a while. but i will get back to it.
theres a lot of stuff ive been meaning to do but i havent got to it yet. like i really wanted to start a scrapbook and learn more origami and get into candle making but i havent done any of them yet. i started with searching up places where i can either get bees wax or soy wax but theyre kinda hard to find. also i really want to do a puzzle but i left all of them in ipoh and i wont be going back for at least another fortnight. i like doing puzzles and i love reading but thats also on pause. for now i guess what i have going on is netflix and i really appreciate sissy for paying for our monthly netflixπŸ’“
this sem is a slight bit slow going cause my regular baby shark gang isnt here so i did freak out over finding an assignment group but im so blessed that for both my subjects i have managed to find groups easily and with people i sorta know and they were nice to invite me into their groups.
another thing thats been going on with school is the whole utar ambassador thing.
so last wednesday i was supposed to be on duty to bring a bunch of china students on a campus tour but when i opened my door to leave my house, there was a scary bird perched on the door grill. if i moved the wooden door to go out, the bird would fly in. i tried so hard to shoo it away; i used a broom, i threw the baby firecrackers at it and i played gunshot sounds on my phones but it was like a stoned bird and nothing freaked it out. i tried making a run for it and it came so close to me i cried. also i left the car keys in the house so i couldnt get to class. my mom really came through for me. she drove home all the way back from work to get rid of the bird for me. she really is the strongest woman i know. i was crying and she kept calm and told me that she would handle it for me. i am so blessed.
often times its easy to forget that you have been so blessed with so much and act out all ungrateful and brat-ish. but then you can always come back from it and redeem yourself. i really really needed my mom to be with me that day with the bird and im so blessed that no matter what happens, regardless of anything and through it all. she will always be there for me and i hope i will be able to do the same for her.
right now shes on an amazing adventure and i cant wait to tell you all about it but its late now and i need to sleep cause i have a class tomorrow.
talk soon guys. laters alligator.

your 20's are for you to figure shyt out

hello gorgeous people!! it is a cold monday morning and it actually has been raining so much in the past weeks. im actually a fan of this weather except for the part where there might be a flash flood during this time.
so much has been going on lately. i think my last post should be scraped off since i am not actually moving back to ipoh. it took time to realise that i dont actually like ipoh as much as i said i did. the thing is, when i moved back, it occured to me that my life isnt based in ipoh and i have nothing going on for me there. Sure we own a house, but i dont know any people in ipoh. my life's all settled in kampar for now. the first week of my stay in ipoh was so hard on me. im so thankful that my dad was there to help me acclimatize to the new environment in ipoh. happy happy
despite that i found it hard to live in ipoh. other than my dad i had no one around. it was always silent around me and it was so scary staying alone and being left with your own thoughts. in the internship office there was no one to talk to and when i came home the lack of company continued and that loneliness is so emotionally draining. maybe some people will interpret this as me being needy or immature or attention seeking. but theres a reason why people in solitary confinement almost always lose their sanity.
im most thankful for my mantouπŸ’“ who was always encouraging me throughout the hardest of days. ill always remember all the things he would say to me when i would call him crying, straight out bawling my eyes out. thank you for all the sacrifices you made me for me bb. and thank you for always prioritizing my happiness.πŸ’“

over the weekend i did a lot of thinking and i decided i cant continue with the ipoh move for another 3 months. my spine was killing me from the life i was living in ipoh. i needed to see a doctor so bad and when i did, i got a needle in my ass and was so close to getting admitted to the hospital and getting an MRI. with scoliosis, im not a stranger to getting x rays and being poked and prodded all over but i was hearing of the possibility of doing an mri for the first time. i  know people only get it when they have concussions and that sometimes people's teeth fall out after the mri.
i got a doctors letter for my university and a 2 week MC to get off any office work or whatever. also im under so many meds and theyre muscle relaxants so they get me all groggy.
if all my paperwork with the hospital and the uni goes through, i should be out of my internship by this week. so i guess im extending my study. im strangely okay with that fact. a year ago i was obsessed with completing my study on time and i said that by hook or by crook i would never extend my stay in kampar. with me postponing my internship itll take an extra 3 months to graduate and im bummed but i know its not the end of the world. people grow up at different speeds. the 3 years of uni is just a guideline. there are people who have figured out their whole lives by 22, played everything by the book, stayed right on the tracks. like sissy (nerd). but there is no fault in swerving off the course and letting things play out on its own. i remember a rant i posted after my a levels, about how stupid standardized tests are and how we rate our future based off the scored but theyre nothing other than random numbers given by luck and circumstance. i know that regardless how hard it gets, i will graduate. ive always given my best shot and im not going to slow down based on a bad lecturer, or a bad grade or a bad experience. and im not gonna stay bummed about the extra 3 months because what's 3 months more in a uni compared to 30 years youll prolly spend working in the field and whats 5 years of studying compared to 50 years of a fulfilling, content life.
(it's wednesday night now) the sem is gonna start next monday and im just enjoying the last few days of sem break before all the nerding up starts again. i think i'll prolly plan a picnic trip or something fun. the last week really took a toll on me and my skin started acting up. i woke up this morning and there were red patches on my left cheek and that really freaked me out. im happy that i got it checked out and and treated so it's less red now. i have the best chauffeur in the worldπŸ’“, who took time out of his incredibly busy schedule to bring me to get checked and also driving me around regardless the weather. im the happiest girl. home really is where love is.

three days before i move to ipoh

hello gorgeous people!! blogging is super cool thats why im back. ive been watching a lot of how i met your mother recently, me being on sem break and all and im super pumped that blogging comes up a lot in the show. im not sure if blogging counts as social media but i much prefer spending my time on my blog than on my Fb or ig accounts. im actually not on either of those sites now haha.
im always most bloggy when im on sem breaks but this time my holiday is shorter than normal because my coming sem is an internship. thats why i'll be moving back to ipoh for 3 months. i dont know how i feel about it though... i was super excited for all the shopping of the work clothes and snacks for my stay in ipoh but now i dont actually feel anything, its kinda like, 'oh well, lets get this over with'. i mean its just an internship. i have to move back to ipoh where ill have a house to myself but lets be real, i dont live in the world's safest neighborhood. the street lighting is bad, there's always dodgy people rounding the place at night and the only security i have is a small rusty gate that might as well not even be there. even our locks dont work. well, at least we have wifi. i would get a guard dog if i werent so afraid of dogs and preferred the tiny ones you carry around in a cute purse.
so the company im with is a jewelry retail place and i think its super that i got it because i really like shiny stuff and omg i want so many diamondsss hahaha.
BOUGHT NEW WORK SHIRTSSS
for the remainder of my stay in kampar, it's gonna be a lot of cleaning up, packing and just sleeping. i have been sleeping a lot to conserve my energy and just catching up on all the sleep i lost during finals season. i did have a lot of all nighters. maybe i'll do a youtube video if i feel like it. but for now its been a lot of netflix and sleep. also a lot of eating too.
ALSO I CUT MY HAIR

i realised that i havent had a post up since my birthday and i can say so much has happened since i turned 21. ive had close friends graduate, ive had conflicts with people im not acquainted with anymore and ive had one or two car accidents and also many a meltdown due to academic stress.
HAPPY CONVOOOO

regardless of everything thats happened, im still labeling 21 as my best year yet because it's also the year i found someone special to go through all that girl drama with me. im so blessed to have my baby mantou. thanks for always being there for me and for everything you do to make me super happy πŸ’“πŸ’“πŸ’“

life update (21st birthday)

Hello gorgeous people! its been super long since my last post and so much has been up! i'm done with most of my school work for now so i decided its timeeee. i keep trying to recall what super fun things ive had going for me since my absence and honestly other than my birthday, i havent been doing much.
Speaking of my birthday, IM OFFICALLY 21 NOW GUYSSSS. SUPER FUNNN!! being an adult is a huge responsibility and im really enjoying life as it happens. i feel good about being at this age at this point in my life. now i can vote for government, go to bars and drink in public and i think i should invest in property soon! Yay ADULTHOOD.
on my birthday, dinner was a super simple cause it was weekend and no one booked any plans so we were super spontaneous. we went to a restaurant in a mall and i got pasta and it was yummy! then we went to get cheese cake because i like cheese cake especially creme brule cheese. ahh
we walked past a puzzle store and sissy got me a fun, little puzzle to do cause i love doing puzzles a lot and it was so much fun to do. it was a really cute design too, a disney tsum tsum one.
After one mall, we hit up the mall next door for some ice cream. we went to haagen dazs for ice cream and i got us a chocolate fondue and it was so good!! we had sides of mini ice cream balls, sides of fruit, brownies and cookies. it was a really fun time with the fam.

also what's been happening is i recently extracted two of my wisdom teeth and am now recovering from that too. it just got really painful one day and i was like in my room, feeling like death and crying so hard. the pain was only on my left side so i had both upper and lower wisdom teeth removed. it had to be don one by one so the top went off first since the lower one had an infection. a bit later the bottom one came off and it was harder than the first since there were stitches involved. during these two weeks, i couldnt eat solids so i lost a bunch of weight which im now getting back. it was an experience tho.
im gonna go rush to a class now. see you later alligator.

Unicorn cake!! ipoh!

Hello gorgeous people!!! hahaha i know it's been a while but i have been super busy with school and so much drama like its so tiring. i managed to catch a break yesterday during an internship interview. i had to catch a train to Ipoh yesterday and it was super fun and the interview went well! after the interview, me and my friends went to get cake and it was the cutest place ever. it was a themed cafe and their specialty is the unicorn cakes. I had a mini one and it was the best cheese and jam cake ever!! they had a lot of really cute stuff on their menu like mermaid cake and a boba lava cake. and the drinks looked really good too but we didnt get any.
The decor of the cafe is all pink and they had so many cute back drops and props for photoshoots. LOVE.
the 3 pictures below are my favorite. i really had fun. gotta dash. see you later, alligator.

Penang Trip with the fam!!

hello gorgeous people!! i know it's been a long time and i miss being on this blog but i have a super title this time and it's about my birthday trip with my family to Penang!! this trip was to celebrate mine and my dad's birthday and it was such a nice trip!
We stayed at Mansion One Hotel and it was a pretty decent hotel except for the registration counters. we booked a studio suite and it was pretty fancy with a kitchenette, a dinning table, a tv section and two queen beds. it was nice but i do wanna comment on their disorganized check in and check out systems. they only had two staff behind counters and they kept disappearing to find their own missing staff. check in at 3 took us an hours wait and the line of people waiting to check it was a long line through a stuffy corridor.
HOTEL ROOM MIRROR
The first night there we had dinner at a food court somewhere along tanjung bungah and it was a big one. it's called Viva and there we had our first serving of char kuey teow, fried oyesters and fish ball soup. sissy then saw this stall selling special apom and we liked it. it was apom with egg, coconut and brown sugar all together. it was super.
then we went to this fancy, container, night market. it was called CUBOPARK and it was just so-so, just overpriced hipster food.
CUBOPARK'S CARPARK

SOME PLANTS
The next day we went back to tanjung bungah for breakfast and i had the nicest bowl of fish bowl soup at a corner coffee shop that was across a super busy market. the breakfast was a good one to get us going for our beach adventure after that. parking in batu ferringhi is a nighmare but we found this private parking spot and for five bucks we were all set for our big beach trip.
FAMILY BEACH TIME
That evening i met up with a friend for tea and he took me to this cafe called China House and we had really good cake and coffee in the most adorable cafe ever. it was classy, with a small art gallery going on up on the second floor. we then walked around the congested, touristy area around the cafe and i had this cute pic with some art and murals.

MONEY CAT
For me and dad's birthday dinner, we had reservations at The Wine Shop, this classy place in Tanjung bungah. it was the most classy diner ever!! they had wine bottles stacked floor to ceiling and they even had those sliding ladders you see in grand libraries. the menu was impressive and i liked that they had little prawn crackers to nibble on while you drank.

THE COOLEST SAUSAGE PLATTER
After dinner, we had planned to get some burgers and hotdogs at a nearby store but it was closed so we drove to Gurney Drive for crepes. it was a cozy house turn cafe, called the crepe cottage and it was my second time there. we ordered two and shared them and it was the funnest time ever!! i need to get some dinner now. but ill be back soon. laters my alligators

super fun week in kl with my daddy!!!

hello gorgeous people!! i'm back in my super secret location after the most fun week of my holiday in KL. i was there since the sem break started but school will reopen again next monday and i think it's too soon. the last sem was a tough one with most of my subjects being killer subjects but thank God i made it through and im super happy. i plan on taking it easy next sem with only five subjects so i can spend more time on this blog too! yay!!
during my week in kl i bought new clothes, ate good food and watched a couple of movies. clothes and movies will get their own separate post later but now i really want to talk about the foodddd!! the best memory i have with my daddy this holiday is when he took me to burger lab for the first time. it was so cool! ive always wanted to go and we finally did and the burgers were soooo good!! we had a lot of good food this time round but burger lab with my dad was the coolest! i took a bunch of pics but they all went missing and i was super upset about that. i still wanna talk about it though.
i got to do all the ordering and the menu was the coolest ever. each burger had cute names so i went for the cutest ones i could see. i had a beef burger called, The Juicy Lucy and it was so yummy and big too. there was bacon wrapped around the patty and hot melted cheese in the middle of the patty. i remember it squirted on my face when i bit into it and it was so funny. daddy had a chicken burger, an Ivysaur and it was the best burger my dad could get cause my mom's name is Ivy haha!! it was good but the egg in it made it soggy and i found the batter a bit to salty.

MY JUICY LUCY
MY FAV MEMORY
the first meal i had in this kl trip was actually in Shah Alam. sissy took me to this cafe and i loved it!! mainly because they had waffles and waffles are everything!! the name of the cafe confused me a bit cause it was the same name as a popular clothing brand so they could be the same company trying to branch out. look how yummy my peach waffles look!! the toast and eggs were good too.
PEACH WAFFLES ARE EVERYTHING
My mom joined my dad and i in kl for the weekend and took us out on a super fun family meal at Naught Nuris. its our favourite place to get ribs! the food and the ambiance were all amazing! the restaurant is an indonesian food specialty place so their menu is like a cross of indonesian flavours and western dishes. i need to talk about their ribs cause they are like the best ribs in the world. its sweet and spicy and the meat falls off the bone and melts in your mouth. ah! the sauce is so good too! so syrupy! we like their fried noodles and rice too cause they come with more pork and crispy toppings. the salad was bomb too cause they topped it with extra crispy pork skin.
ROASTED PORK SALAD

MY FAV RIBS
FANCY INDOMIE😘
i did a lot of fun things this time round in KL but i didnt manage to get a vlog done cause i didnt pack my camera but i guess i can save that for another trip. during this trip i managed to get mt two favourite snacks. one has been a long time favourite of mine and the other, a new snack i discovered. i have always liked bubble tea and Koi has been my favorite for a long time. the golden bubble pearl milk tea is the best and i managed to get mine in Midvalley. yay!
my new discovery is the fun franks from nathans and i loved it!! you get to pick between beef or chicken sausages and then it gets dunk in batter and then deep fried on a skewer! how fun!! it was crispy and like a deep fried sausage bun so yummy!! they had a pretty extensive menu but the sausages were so yummy! also gotta love their fries! their fries are so thick and you can get them plain or with an assortment of cheesy toppings. i got really happy when i found out they came with a super cute fries fork. its a special red stick just for eating fries. the fork is somewhere in my bag and when i get it i'll post a picture.
its friday today and i just found out that i managed to get car sticker for the coming sem that starts on monday. yay!! it's actually lunch time right now and im going to get something to eat. laters alligator πŸ’“πŸ’“πŸ’“

my attempt at organization

hello gorgeous people!! i know its been a while since i had an update and i missed updating you guys so here's whats been up. it's getting towards the end of the semester so very clearly busy busy busy!! but among my busy study schedule, i have been looking forward to tell you guys about me trying to get more organized. it started off with my underwear. i bought a 16 slot underwear organizer that is so cute and pink and it keeps up with the pink theme of my room. i got this online on lazada and thought it was pretty cool especially for rm 6 during a sale. the hanger didnt come with it so what youre seeing is the one i slipped in to hang in my cupboard.
the next thing i got was a watch display case. i decided i needed one when i took a long time to decide which watch matched my outfit of the day and then finding where i put them. also they kept falling off my tiny dresser. i ordered this through a friend and honestly i have no regrets. it looks so so cool and i like the shiny aluminium base and the cool glass display window. classy is what it is! look at it!
the last thing i got was so cool i ordered two, one for me and one for my mom!! we are both big fans of accessories especially earrings so it make sense that we got these. it's a cute, clear, plastic box with 3 drawers for your earrings and necklaces. i actually dont have enough earrings to fill up all the slots but i do plan on having it filled by semester break. shopping time! earrings actually do wonders for framing your face and it makes you look so girly its amazing! i saw it on shoppee and knew i had to have it. its actually a lot easy to use like any storage drawer except this one is so cute!
so these are the 3 organizers that i have gotten and im thinking off getting a shoe organizer next. i have to get my dinner now. see you later alligator πŸ’“

FIVE FEET APART REVIEW

hello gorgeous people!! my update schedule has been a bit backed up cause ive just been crazy busy and when im not busy im crazy lazy. this week is a pretty relaxed week school wise since most classes have already ended in preparation for finals.
this post is gonna be about a book i read a couple weeks back, Five Feet Apart, by like 3 authors i havent heard of before until this book. the title didnt really call our to me but i got interested once i watched the trailer and saw my teen crush, Cole Sprouse!!! AHHH he's so so soo good in Riverdale!! i was gonna watch the movie with my sister but we couldnt get tickets and so i bought the book intead. to be perfectly honest, i didnt have very high expectations because i kept hearing that it was like the ugly twin of The fault in our Stars. i love the fault in ours stars so much that if i were only able to watch one movie for the rest of my life, it'd be the one. i remember crying in the cinema watching TFIOS and then getting cake after that, still drenched in tears. it was such a good movie.
if i had any positive expectation though, id be incredibly disappointed. for starters, i dont like books that changes the narrator every chapter. one moment we're seeing things in Stella's point of view and the next we're looking at Will's. plus, do you hear how cheesy the character's names are?!
like most romance novels, theyre both dying teenagers, here to teach us to appreciate what we've got going for us and that true love conquers all. maybe if i were a 9 year old i'd like it and not to say that im skeptical about feeling and shyt but like, some people should really get over themselves.
the storyline was a bit to draggy and slow going, not exactly my style. but the worst thing for me was the ending. goodness, the ending made me want to rip my hair out! how unrealistic is it to throw your whole future away for a guy you just met and barely know. if she hadnt gotten the transplant, id rip the book apart. also, i was too steamed about that to get mad at the cliffhanger ending. so they got over each other in 8 months and finally meet again by complete coincidence. what was that?!?! do they get back together? no? well we wouldnt know. but what i do know that it's a window for a sequel and im not so sure if thats going to be the smartest way for me to blow my money.
Ive got to get back to my school work now and i think i'll be filming a youtube video later. haha see you later alligator

weekend adventure to KL

hello gorgeous people!! this post comes a bit late but i have been crazy busy and i think im bound to get busier in the coming few weeks. to take a break from my crazy uni life, i treated myself to a trip to KL last weekend. i took a train right after i aced my ecommerce test in the morning. the trip there was fine except that i was on a seat next to an old dude who kept his legs spread so wide it was too close to me for comfort. like i need a personal space barrier!!!! i reached on time, got on an lrt and then had a super yummy dinner with my dad. we had hokkien fried noodles with lala soup and fried noodles is like my favourite thing like EVER!! it was so good and it was my first time having lala soup and i LOVED it!! it was a tiny weenie bit spicy cause of the chili padi and ginger but the lala was plump and fresh and the soup was sweet from the goji berries so it was super good!! i had ice cream with fruit too after dinner.
the next day i woke up later than usual probably cause of all the travelling i did the day before. it was too late to go get a croissant breakfast that i like so i went to a coffee shop that sold something similar but it wasnt as good. but i had a pretty good bowl of beef noodles with really tender meat slices.
we went to 1 utama after that and i was super excited to get my all time favourite bubble tea, Koi!!! its the best but you can only get it in kl so i always make sure i get my fill. i love their pearls. i also shopped around and got earrings and a pair of gudetama socks.
I went to a different mall later that night, Atria, and i wanted to get some food that my friend and i could do a youtube video with but there was nothing interesting for a food challenge. i like KL supermarts in shopping malls tho, the variety is endless. and thats how were able to get this brand of luncheon meat that we like, golden bridge. the best canned meat there ever was!
on my last day i woke up bright and early because sissy was gonna take me out to breakfast to the actual OG croissant place and good thing we went early too cause the parking was good and so was the table. i had a ham and cheese croissant with roti kahwin on the side. then we went to the mall for a while and i bought some clothes from Cotton On which were on sale and they were so so cute and so so cheap. honestly i have got to start talking about my style and clothes soon. i have so many style tips and accessories i want to talk about. i could yak about it forever so that will take time but it's coming soon yalls!
maybe it'll come sooner than you'd think. i have to go take a nap now, this new gelato scented candle i got from Bath and Body Works is making me sleepy. see you later alligator

Welcoming our latest addition to the family

Hello gorgeous people!! it's a sunny Sunday and i have just taken a nice cold shower after completing my chores. its a pretty warm day and ive been hearing a lot about a super intense heatwave going around malaysia. take care guys! water's always good for you. i'll be fine because im a hermit and i rarely leave the safety of my home so everything will be chill on my end.
im excited for the new week ahead. have a presentation and a computer test lined up but nothing too major. the hell weeks of the semester have already passed. this week will also be my family's first week with our brand new car!! we just drove our new baby home from the store yesterday and it was such a rush. this car is also the first car that has my name under it's registration and thats pretty cool cause it means im part owner. i like this feeling of owning something so adult. i felt this way too when i was 16 and i got my first laptop, like i was such the adult, that i have everything put together. the Ooi's have 3 cars now and we're so thankful for God's provision!
Im actually car illiterate so i cant tell you all the fancy insider guts of this car's abilities but what i do know is it's a Produa Beza. its brown but a bit purple like the colour of a mild bruise. the boot space is huge enough to fit a couple of pigs and you can also fit a few more in the back seat. yup super spacious. the insides are super cool too! theres a functioning radio, bluetooth connection and a lot of fancy buttons that do stuff that i dont know about! there's really so many buttons cause the door opens with a button and a sensor and the engine starts with yes, another button too!!
my dad and i had a really funny experience with the car yesterday. we were at a gas station, filling up the tank, and we were both out of the car. i think he locked the doors as we were getting it filled and this car has a futuristic unlocking system so its kinda complex. he managed to unlock his driver side door but we spent i think a good 10 minutes just trying to get my door opened. i dont know what happened too but it opened after a while and i just laughed about it on the way home.
we took the car to the mall yesterday and we'll be taking out to dinner in a couple of hours. this car will take us on a super many cool adventures next time and i cant wait to write all about it.

so how was your weekend?πŸ˜˜πŸ’“πŸ’“

the most adult moment of my life- i rented a room

hello gorgeous people!! it's finally friday and i feel like its been such a long week. this weekend will be a fun one though. our family has got really exciting news... we're expanding our family!! yup, that's right y'all's!! tmr at 2pm, we'll be going to collect OUR BRAND NEW CARRR!! we're all super excited for this and we're really very blessed. i could go on about it but i think ill have have a special post for it tmr and i can upload some pictures too once we get it.
this week has been eventful and when i say 'this week' i actually just want to focus on my yesterday and today. yesterday was the day that i rented a room for the first time in my life. ive gone through five semesters of university so far and ive been so blessed that until now ive never had to worry about rent, bills, meals and taking care of myself in general. i guess an adult moment like this is bound to happen to everyone at one point of their lives but i never saw it coming for me. there are so many things to be excited about like i dont have to do chores for a whole house anymore or i dont have to do my own laundry anymore cause i have a laundromat service. and the whole usual first-time-experience ecstasy! there are also parts that scare me greatly and i think about such things a lot that they keep me up on some nights. i have to live with other students, what if theyre not friendly?what if this new house has many bugs? and i have to decide on my own meals now what if dont know what to buy or what to make. what if my allowance runs out too fast? i need to learn to plan my spending now and i have never ever done that. i've studied a unit in accounting and another in finance but will i use that theory in real life now?
Anyways back to me getting a room. the decision to move in May was super rushed. it's only two months away and i know most new students and current students looking to move have already started booking rooms way ahead for the coming new semester. i was a bit behind so i didnt have much time on doing a through research on accommodations and synthesizing all that information to make a well judged decision. throughout it all my friends have been a good help in giving me advice. would i rather be under a management or  a private owner? house or condo? cycling distance or driving distance? if i choose management which management would give me a better service, KT or Danish? front row houses or the old back part ones? what happens when i leave on my internship?
in the flurry of the moment all that was clear was i needed a room in a house, under a management and in the front row, with the lake view and with a bigger parking area. also i wanted a room on the ground floor cause my lazy ass doesnt like stairs so much and plus what if i need to carry heavy junk?
i ended up with quite the nice room actually. its near to a bustop and checks all the boxes. of course because of the rush to book a room so i wouldnt end up without one, we're slowly realizing all the cracks in our plan. a room in the ground floor at the front would mean less privacy for me cause theres a big big window facing the porch. and it'll be the noisiest one too. ground floor is also the target rooms for any burglaries. but i dont think i'll worry about such things for now. i really need to get focus on my school work and the upcoming exams in 3 weeks. once im done with that im sure everything else will fall into place.
im not going to worry too much.  Philippians 4:6-7 says, 6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
sleep tight everyone. goodnight

Valentine's day recap 2019 - dinner at e-hub Kampar

Hello all you gorgeous people!! in my previous post i mentioned the super fancy meal i had a couple weeks back but then yesterday i remembered a fancy dinner i had that would give Durbar a run for their money. for valentines day this year, i pulled all the stops. i bought flowers and a fancy dinner for my mom. i had ordered a rose bouquet weeks in advanced knowing the stores would be busy, and since i knew id be having classes, i had them delivered straight to her at her workplace. she was so stoked! much excited indeed! she took pictures and was super happy!
for dinner, i took her to this fancy bar lounge place, e-hub in kampar. the ground floor is a restaurant and the entertainment center with the karaoke and pool tables are all on the upper floors. i'd say its fancy cause there's a stage at the front of the restaurant where they sometimes have live music playing and they also serve liquor so thats always fancy!
e-hub had a special valentines day 3-course menu and of course we had to try it. we started off with a seared hokkaido scallop on a bed of salad. i cant recall what the dressing was but i remember it being super citrus-y. the scallop was huge and really unlike the tiny pink ones you get when you buy frozen ones for your steamboat. we then ordered one of each of the choices of entrees so we tried a chicken roulade and a salmon dish which came with the same sides, just different sauce and different protein. i think i preferred the chicken. it came on a deep fried polenta cake and salad and a truffle butter sauce which was bomb. the meal ended with a dessert of frozen tiramisu and it came with a nice caramel sauce but it could do without. anyways it was a really good meal overall. the gin and juice was good too of course (hehehe!)
im super thankful to have had celebrated the event with my family and it really made me appreciate how loved i am by my parents especially. sometimes as a 'soloist' people tend to draw assumptions about your happiness which i think they shouldnt. i am loved and thats all i need to know.
