entering week 2 of my something new

hey everyone! happy monday! my weekend was a great one! i finished all my assignments, went swimming, went to a big mall and finished watching the 2016 version of PowerPuff Girls. last thursday and friday, my dad was around to drive me around to where i needed to be and that was really fun for me too. also, he gave me driving lessons. i drove around our neighbourhood and i thought it was really good driving. we did some parking practices and i entered the box perfectly 3 out of 4 times. sadly, when i asked if he thought i was ready to drive to school, he said i could use a bit more practice. but thats okay though, cause i still feel nervous when driving and if he thinks that way means its for the best. so i get into an accident or hit a monkey or something.
i finished my assignment and that is super amazing and whats super amazing is that i brought mahjong paper to the same class today and we used it. okay, yes, we were asked to bring it but it sounds cool if i just had an instinct to bring a funky sized paper to school and we just so happen to need it and i was the only one who had it.
swimming was definitely my highlight this weekend. it was really cold so early in the morning and i was feeling so 'urgh' to get into the cold water but once i started, i loved it. my specialty is the breaststroke and now im learning to master the freestyle. still cant thread the water though. it was my coach's birthday too that day and i hope she had a great day. we sang for her while doing our warm ups. there's a guy in the super advanced class and he's young but has abs and its not the fake kind where he has to flex to let it show but it was just there. a lot of people saw it last week and i think all of us were impressed and couldnt help but stare for a while. whatdyaknow, he came to lesson this week with a shirt one, which he didnt have on last week. think he noticed the stares? maybe.
i went to a mall, the big one in ipoh and i bought quite a lot of stuff. i got a tshirt, some gloves for cleaning my turtle, and 2 pairs of pink fluffy indoor slippers. also i bought a book. its called 小王子 and i loved the english version of it. i read it so many times.
okay now time for some cartoon action here! so if you were born in the late late nineties, you may have watched the original Powerpuff girls where their emergency phone was a toy home phone with curly wire, where their voices(for all except for buttercup) were super duper high pitched. the concept is still the same, 3 powergirl sisters, saving the town. theres a professor who's like their dad and a mayor who is huge baby. the animation is really different though. its like a cross of adventure time and phineas and ferb though more of adventure time. the girls still have the same personality just they talk different using terms like: yassss, mic drop and selfie. most importantly, the emergency phones are now iphones. hahaha.
okay it's getting late and its a new day tomorrow. see you guys!

kingsman 2017 review... loved it

hello everyone!! i am back and its so good to be finally doing a post after what feels like forever. you wont believe how busy i have been. and to think that i was considering starting another blog. that would have been too much work to handle! anyways i am bursting with happiness and i have a great speech to write about that but let's get on to more recent news. this weekend was a fantastic one. just like wow! so not only did i get a super cute guitar pick, i went to the theater to watch the greatest movie of 2017: KINGSMAN: THE GODLDEN CIRCLE.
isnt it the most adorable thing?!

okay about the movie! it starts of with a fight scene between a guy in a suit and a guy with a robot arm(i thought of Deandra from MPGiS) so i was really liking it from the start. Also there's a guy named merlin?! like my absolute favourite uk- tv series ever!! the protagonists' Eggsy. he's agent for the spy organization: Kingsman. so he fights the robot arm guy who was trained agent by Kingsman but got rejected and went rogue. they were figuring out his motive for the attack and turns out, he got scouted by a psycho lady who is leading in the drug distributing world. she's rich but no one knows her so she want's fame. she poisons her drugs so that everyone who takes them get these weird blue rash action going on and that turns out to be symptom one of the 4 levels of intensity before death by her drugs. she holds back on the antidote, making a deal with the president of the united states. she's got her hostage situation going on so everyone knows her now. the president has his own agenda and think he's going to outsmart her but he fails and goes to jail while the psycho drug lady dies by her own drug in the end. oh yeah her drug ring is called The Golden Circle hence the title.
there's plenty of comedy included. more if you count swearing as comedy too.
elton john makes an appearance too! he was one of the hostages the psycho lady kept with her and she made him do private performances and stuff andddd he has his own fight scene. he wore heels and feathered coats like such a diva!
my favourite scene happens at the ski resort in italy when they try to steal a vial of antidote from the lab there. they were in the gondola going down when the ropes holding the carriage snaps and they swing off, sliding downhill towards a retirement home resort place and there were elderly sitting ouside and when they stop the carriage just in time, an old guy said that it was the first decent shit he's had in weeks and i thought that it was funny coming from an old guy.
now i have to get going to start with school so i'll see you sometime soon!

watching Girl Meets World- yes that Disney show

Good morning my readers!!! it is thursday today and we are nearing the weekend! yesterday i had a fun time! the best day of ever! there were flowers, balloons and decor all over the house. even cake!! yes there was a super special birthday yesterday!! the most amazing person ever... MUMMY!!! yeah it was so much fun and i was very happy. oh yeah, also it was the mid autumn festival yesterday. to all my people celebrating, eat lots of mooncake!
a couple of days ago, i watched Big Hero 6 in mandarin on iflix and i discovered that Baymax in mandarin is BeiMian!!! hahaha!! it was pretty easy to understand but then again it's a kids show so they cant use very complex vocabulary after all. i really like having an iflix account so you can tell how excited i am that i have a free subscription until december of this year. so i was scrolling to iflix and i decided to watch an episode of this Disney show- Girl meets World. when i was a tween i lived for such disney sitcoms like hannah montana, wizards of waverly place, and icarly( actually thats nickelodeon). thing is, they had only the first season of GMW on iflix so if i wanted to watch season 2, i was going to have to find it on my own. i found this site where you can watch it free right here: watch it!
thing is, having not watched such shows in a while, you realise that there are valuable life lessons that you can learn from these shows. i want to talk about the most recent 2 episodes that i watched. they are season 2 episode 17 and 19.
here goes:
episode 17 is called GirlMeets Rileytown. In this episode, Riley is being bullied for her unique personality. She smiles a lot and is always cute and happy. the bully called her names, made fun that she was goofy and silly and different. her gang of friends found out about what was going on and tried to help her. but she didnt want them to find out or talk to them about it. they just kept talking to her, supporting her, telling her that she is unique and that they like her just the way she is. they accepted her weirdness and it gave her the strength, courage to face the bully head on. she accepted herself and the bully left her alone in the end. what is amazing to me is that they didnt give a face to the bully. is it said it was a 'her' but that was it. we hear what she said through riley's retelling to the gang and in the end when they face off, she riley faced the camera to make it seem like the bully is beyond the screen! i think it's great they did that because a bully doesnt need to look any specific way. it can be a kind looking guy but do you have any idea how hard it is to judge character. i really cried when riley cried next to maya telling her everything that she was called. in truth, why do people hate smiley people? what is so wrong with being goofy? why cant a girl with a bright personality be accepted just the way she is? who do the bullies think they are, trying to control how an innocent person should be behaving? listen up, i know what it's like to have schoolmates tell you that they'll punch the smile off your face. i know what it's like to be called names. but i also know how to rise above it. to not be affected or change yourself to please the bullies.
episode 19 is called Girl Meets Rah Rah. in this episode, riley tries to fulfill her life's dream of being a cheerleader even though she is inexperienced and the coach doesnt like her. her friends try to discourage her in the beginning and they tell her that she wont be good and stuff like that. it made me really mad for a while because i hate it when people look down on other people's dreams. dreams should be protected. thankfully her dad supported her and she had a strong will to not give up so she made it to all 3 days of tryouts. i like that her dad helped. soon her friend's realised they were wrong to discourage her. they decided to not stop riley from doing what she wants to do as true friends would. this is a true mark of a friend, they support, always remember that when youre choosing your friends okay, susanna! her dad who also happens to be her teacher said some really nice things like, 'if you give up, youll only be left in the dark' or something along that line.
my favourite character is Farkle. he's skinny, tall, awkward, smart and pale. there's a charm to it. here's how he looks post puberty and not in his Farkle character:

i have some business to take care of now but ill see you guys in my post tomorrow where i will most likely write about how bad greed can destroy a life. that is if i dont see another disney show i would like to write about. see you!

when you look back

hey everyone! it is a wet morning in kampar. it started raining about an hour ago. i was out on my bike and i felt a drizzle so i made a quick turn and came home. i really like cycling and stuff. so anyway, its raining really heavy and i think its been rainy for a week now? maybe that long.
last night i googled 'utar carpool app' and i found it! it is called U Drive! you guys should check it out. i think there's like a thousand downloads. yesterday, i also found a website where you can stream Fresh Off the Boat for free. iflix shows you until season 2 but there's actually 4 seasons. here's the link: Fresh Off the Boat. the show is about a Chinese immigrant family made up of a mom, a dad, a grandma and 3 kid boys. the series is actually based of a memoir written by eddie huang and that is also the name of the eldest kid character in the show. it's actually great comedy. there s no focus on the struggles of fitting in as a non white in a white country. but its like a regular family show just based on chinese people. GO CHINESE PEOPLE. the kids are actually really cute. my favourite is the middle kid and his real name is Forrest wheeler. it's a real name and it reminds me of forrest gump which is also another character i like. he's handsome and he looks really tough too. check it out:
cute, no?
this morning has been a morning of discoveries. i discovered that i am really bad at choosing 'friends' and i am really naive and that is a very dangerous trait to have. i really regret that in the past i chose a lot of wrong people to give to my support to. i supported people i thought were real friends because i couldnt see past their front and see their real intentions.
my real personality is naturally a supportive person. i get that from the folks. happy!
the thing is in the past i have supported people i thought were 'friends' but they were real fiends. i have said this before but i will say it again. PROTECT YOUR OWN DREAMS. dont let the negative 'friends' bring you down or say you cant do stuff. people are always jealous of me thats why they tried to bring me down. i wasnt careful enough to see that but now i will try to be less naive and be more sure of the people i hang out with in the future. i will keep working hard and move forward. i hope those people who are or were like the victim i once was will chose to create their own path and ignore the haters who try to tell us we cant but we can and we will. we can and we will is actually a line from my friends salutatorian speech. i havent spoken to her i liked her because i know she is genuinely nice. well guys it is getting late so i have some things to get to. see you soon.
