thoughts on food

hey internet friends!! let me tell you what i just did! THE KOREAN SPICY NOODLE CHALLENGE! and i filmed it so you can watch it in like a couple of hours at this link ! it tastes delicious and smells so fragrant and i'll tell ya it looks like a million bucks! about now youd think that the exclamation mark is the only punctuation i know but hah! it's not because i just used an apostrophe. i honestly didnt expect it to be spicy at all and i was right. all the white people being so extra like why am i not even surprised. still waiting for my oppa here! koreans rock in every way possible especially the food yesss!
so its a day of wonderful food as is everyday for me so since you already know dinner, we'll move anticlockwise and talk about lunch next. lunch was this amazing veggie soup with a fermented bean paste. a chinese dish, no doubt. its called jap chai (i think). also more stir fried leeks like only the yummiest veggie ever! breakfast was energizing with a mcdonals breakfast. there was a crowd obviously but that is negligible. today i got new glasses for my pretty face and i am so happy to announce that my power has decreased by 50points so feel free to have a lavish celebration in my honor and yes i am being a serious person right now.
yesterday was a shopping day and i wanted to do a haul but i didnt and all the bags and tags are gone so it wont be much of a video. i bought pants from uniqlo and h&m and brands outlet but nothing from cotton on. strange? you tell me. and keywords here are nandos and fried noodles.
okay so over the weekend i did something amazing. a sembo block model! yay!! no time for pictures cause its past bedtime but i made a restaurant and its adorable and it took me no time. it was so much fun. plus this one came with led lighting for my chandelier so my restaurant looks so fancy. theres a fountain, people and a rooftop deck. my next project will be a steve jobs factory. that will cost me about rm160 so calling all fans and fans.

watching la la land on chinese new year

hey gorgeous people! happy chinese new year! 鸡年大吉!! it's the year of the rooster so ive been eating a lot of chicken. actually i eat a lot of chicken on the norm. i should talk about my interesting week at school! on monday i went to school in formal attire and had the school launch. i didnt expect much and for good reason. point is, i looked good, my friends looked good! i had a bio test too. it went pretty well so all smiles. tuesday my class found out that we were supposed to perform for the schools lunar celebration. we decided on a video so i brought my camera the next day. wednesday. maths test, aced it!! i am happy. brought my camera and cause little children tend to be very fickle, we changed to a dance as a last minute decision. carried all my equipment for no reason? nope. i had to make use of it so i bragged teehee. but it was very minimal. so i stayed till 5pm just for dance practice which wasnt much because nobody wanted to do it and there was an angry little devil screaming at us thinking she was boss. screw that? okay. on a happy note, dad came to kampar that evening by train. the next day was a thursday, also the most painful day of my life. i woke up, had oats with my parents then i couldnt stand up. i just curled into a shaking ball of teen female angst on the floor. i just had a really bad stomach ache and i couldnt do anything about it. i threw up a few times, violently. my throat was sore for a day. there were pills i took that helped. i obviously couldnt go to school so i stayed home and slept till 9am. then i got a text from ma saying that im not allowed to miss todays chemistry class which starts at 1pm so i was like i feel better so okay. so in the time till one i went to the ic department, and while we were walking to the car pa's shoe fell apart so we went to tesco for new ones and then we went home to change and get lunch. we had porridge for lunch. when i went to school i had people asking me hey, what happened to you and stuff so i thought lets get a few laughs out of this. i said i had handfoodandmouth disease. the reaction was just as i guessed. everyone was like WHAT then proceeded to step away. see, a few months back many people had it and it was during exam season so everyone's traumatized. i went home at 2.30pm and then slept more till ma came home and we all went to ipoh. there were no road jams and such. when we reached it was early so we went home before dinner. we said a noodle dinner at stadium but it was closed so went to a cafe which was also closed but there we was a porridge shop across the street which we had never eaten at so there we went and i loved it. we ordered the pork and fish porridge, salted egg fried chicken and veggies fried with salted fish. it was all so tasty and delicious and good. also it was a rainy night so the hot food tasted better. there were plenty of other tables who called the steamed fish which is killed on the spot because there was an aquarium. we all slept early that night. yesterday morning was new years eve so mom bought back breakfast from a food shop outside so i had fried noodles and nestum. after breakfast we went to the mall to get drinks and new year stuff like food and more food. we bought yee sang with sushi for lunch which was so amazing!! i like eating the crispy bits of it. we had a steamboat dinner at a restaurant with roasted beef and chicken wings at the side! the beef was the best part. after eating we had drinks and then stopped by another mall to get tickets for la la land which we watched today. it was a first for us to go to this particular cinema because we normally go to a nearer cinema to us but honestly no regrets. this cinema is way more high tech, it's more spacey and wayy cleaner. also a better sound quality. the movie on the other hand... i liked high school musical much better if im honest. it was really draggy in my opinion. like i get that they like each other but the hike to the climax took too long. the songs are mediocre just like the dance. the ending was horrible i cringed through it. what i did like though were the transitions and the font when they change seen. it' so 50's its adorable. after the movie we wanted to eat so we had cendol and fruits but i wanted ice cream so we went down many floors to the super market to get my m&m ice cream sandwich was way better and cheaper than any baskin robins icecream ever. nice.
i have to charge my laptop now but i realise i did not mention my latest puzzle. that will be soon. happy new year again and have a good night. love my lovelies

goblin kdrama season finale

hello gorgeous people!! its 11.20pm on a sunday and i have just wrapped up the whole season of the kdrama 'Goblin' with my sissy. what an ending guys! if you are following the series then you are officially a good human but if you dont then you should be making a beeline for your computer. head to iflix and youll see it first thing. okay for the people missing out on life, let me be your lifeline and get you a summary. imagine korea 1000 years ago, a warrior returns, victorious from  battle. a kid king on his throne, feels threaten by the warrior and sentence him to death for being an imaginary traitor. his family dies too and the messed up part is that his sister was married to the kid king at the time. fast forward 900 years and the warrior is still alive because he's a goblin now. and he has to find his bride to end his immortality. he becomes roomies with a Grim Reaper because of the reincarnation of a slave boy he had years ago but they become the best of friends in no time. they are so adorable it's not fair! he meets his bride of course and they are dating for a moment, then theyre not, then they are again. then he dies and because she needed him he returns from the heavens and then they get married. barely 24 hours after their wedding, she dies and he waits for her to be reincarnated so they can be together again. there's a happy ending for everyone. now, to fully understand this drama, you've got be very open minded about every fictional aspect of life like reincarnation. now, i didnt get why the grim reaper collect souls that are seemingly alive but theyre dead. but its apparently how it works. also here ghosts are real and there is more than one divinity one of them being a butterfly, another a hot lady and the globlin. it ended with the goblin couple meeting in their canada spot next to headstones and they are in love all over. the grim reaper and sunny both go to the afterlife together and reincarnate as a detective and an actress and they are a couple too. all smiles. but i realise 2 flaws in the ending. 1) what the heck happened to deok hwa?! and 2) if she's in her 1st out of 4 reincarnations, how does kim shin know her from 1000 years ago and made her his first love? now i have to recommend this drama to every living person who wants to see gorgeous korean oppas because they made the most beautiful cast in the world.
i had a subway dinner, a new flavour of chicken and sausage which was nice. then an hours car ride and im back in school village ugh.
i actually had a really good weekend( thanks to dad, mom and baby Jesus) so i will give you a recap so you can feel happy knowing how happy i am.
saturday morning i had a milo breakfast then ma and sissy went for a hair cut. while waiting for them pa and i had a drink of tea across the street. then we went home and chilled until lunch. we had roasted duck with rice and i love it so much. roasted duck honestly beats chicken any day. we were contemplating ordering a whole duck for chinese new year but that may be a bit too much.we'll think it through. we went to get some bulk shopping done for the new years after that. we bought nuts, cookies and plenty of juices.  dinner was fried dumplings and curry noodles which was really yummy! then we went to the mall to look see but i was actually legitimately hoping to buy things. its not really fun to shop when people are waiting for you outside, it just doesnt let you be at peace to make any purchases. so i bought a pack of strawberry gum and that was about it.
that night i filmed a video which is not edited yet so you might have to wait quite a bit. i tried some soju, korean rice wine and it was pretty good honestly. but it did smell better than it tasted. i was supposed to film with sissy but she's shy over her new haircut.
i really should be in bed by now but i really want to share with you how my friday went.
it was a really cool day because it was casual dress day and i wore a big bird shirt and i saw this really handsome student on the way to class. i made a grand announcement and created a stamped out the door but in vain because he guy had already gone to class. i like how even the guys wanted a look at him. some little envious girls were so gel that i got to glimpse at someone. then during bio it was amazing because i got to answer a lot of questions in class which makes me happy. i mean i get to answer a lot of questions correctly, mind. i hope to keep the answering right streak going for a long time. im pretty sure a certain person in class wasnt happy because i was way better than her during bio so she tried to sabotage my chemistry presentation which i worked really hard on. ask ma, i even had a mock presentation. and thanks to something called not giving any effs, i did really well on my presentation like i always do.

fancy dress day

hey you guysss!! today has been a messy day. imagine paper as a metaphor for my day and someone aggressively shredded my entire schedule for today and dumped it in a blender. it started off early because i woke up by myself half an hour before my mom would usually come in. i had my cookie and coffee and went to shower. then there was a bee in my shower so i had to spray the place and use the spare shower which took a while because i had to transfer my products. when i got out of the shower, as if magic sped up time, i only had 5minutes to get dressed. the hardest thing was today was the first formal day in school and i needed more time to get dress and it didnt help that i had to wear contact lenses and an adult screaming in one ear so i scarped that. miraculously i made it to the car accident free except i dropped a pens from my unzipped bag but had no hands to pick them up so i left them wasted on the road. i ran from the car park to my class in slippers and when i reached i was out of breath and i used my spare contacts in my school bag and they were in in less than a minute. i was kinda sweaty here but theres a reason theres air conditioning. turns out, i was the first to reach in class so there was no one there. i chilled for a bit and one by one kids came piling in and i put my heels on, and my suit, and unified, we walked to the hall. there was an assembly today in those sports hall places and the air conditioner wasnt working so everyone was basically drenched by the end of it. i had classes until 10am and then free schedule until 1pm so my amazing friend with her amazing driving skills drove the whole class minus my bestie to sushi! we had to eat fast and fast we ate. we packed some for the kids who didnt get to go too cause we're too nice! so that was lunch! i actually had a packed lunch today but i had it as my tea because my packed lunch was pretty amazing too. i had class again till 3.30 and home at last! so i ate, talked and showered. then i get a call from mom asking if i left school already then i was like oh snap i didnt tell her?! shes not mad though. thankfully. sissy is cooking dinner and i just got something amazing in the mail. my super dad got me a sembo block set of a restaurant! i love doing puzzles and now that has extended to lego models and they are hard to get where im from so we had to get them online! it looks good.
its eating time! also its been raining for like more than an hour now and its the heavy kinda rain so theres like no seeing anything farther than a kilometer infront of you. see ya lovelies

dressing for school

hey there people with internet! it's sunday night so there is school to look forward to tomorrow... are you sensing my excitement??!! anyways i ended school well last friday. i had my first biology lesson with a new teacher. i had no high expectations because i thought her age might put her at a disadvantage but now i like this teacher because she lets us laugh when she does old people mistakes like mistaking sounds. friday was a heavy day so i napped after school until my ma got home from work. im not sure if i mentioned this in my last post but i fell asleep on the couch in school one day when i had a free period and woke up to people commenting how adorable i am! haha!
we left for ipoh at about 5 so we reached at 6pm and then straight to the mall! this coming tuesday there's an event for the a level students. its the launch of the new a level centre so the school requested we wear formal business attire on that day. the closest thing i have is like black jeans so my super amazing sister shopped for me. she's very well versed in styling in this fashion because shes been in uni for like 3 years now. she had me try on 4 black skirts and one brown skirt and one black dress and 2 white blouses. i will be wearing her suit on that day because i feel sick when i think of spending 200 bucks for something i dont need so urgently. my current get up is a blue blouse and a super cute black skirt. like most my comrades, i didnt like the idea of dressing differently for a day because everyone in school will notice and stare that that we are out of uniform but now that i see how pretty i look in my skirt, im all for this. we went for dinner after getting my clothes. then we bought some chinese new year cookies and seaweed chips which i super love. that night i finished downloading goblin, the cool korean drama! i just watched the lastest episode 13 today and im shocked. i love goblin for a million reasons but the main one being that all the Korean men look so gorgeous!!! the grim reaper seriously makes my heart melt! i have to wait next week for the next episode.
last night i went to church and watched some short anime like erased which was like 10 episode each being only 10 minutes. this was recommended by my sissy who didnt use to like anime until i started watching. i was initially searching for love 020 but it's impossible to find online. there is one app you can download to watch(dramafever) but you have to pay for it and i already have iflix so i definitely dont want another movie app. thing is, Wang Wang is the handsomest actor ever and i want to watch. i want a new phone too if im honest. i know i dont really need one but i love love love the samsung galaxy s7 edge. it's so cool and the goblin used one in the tv show. i even looked up postpaid deal on and there is a great one. i hate phones so much. haha
im just remembering that tomorrow my friend wont be coming to school. she's got this big skype interview thing going on. oh well.
to end on a high note, some happy news. pa bought me a sembo block set and i love it so much. more in the next post. see ya lovelies

what a week

hey you gorgeous people!! it has been a long week and im back with more tales to tell. i guess i will start with the highlights from my weekend. the whole family went to the big, big mall to get sissy a suit. she's the MC for her uni's orientation (which ended today) and she had to dress all secretary with a suit. suits look super cool but since i didnt need one and with chinese new year approaching, my amazing ma got me a really cool sweater and new cheetah print jeans! love it! after the shoppinh spree me and sissy were exhausted so we napped past dinner and went out really late.
moday i used a new classroom for the first time.
yesterday i had a lot of free periods so not much to say there. one thing that happened was i had my AS results yesterday but i wont tell you anything. so i pulled through and i guess everything will be okay. oh wait there was something interesting. the first period was assembly but my year missed that because we had a talk by AIESEC which is like this volunteer exchange programme. there were kids from UTP, a uni i actually considered like in year 1400 and they explained the programme and i found it really interesting and i would like to be a part of such an organisation. thing is if i were to go on a trip for a noble cause, i'd go with YWAM.
today the power went out at school and the school thought they could make it up by giving the kids free drinks. it's the thought that counts. it was really hot but there was one cold room because like the day before, someone left the air cond running the entire night so the glass was frosted and the chairs freezing. and just like the day before, we worried teachers might find out. i only had lessons for one subject today and im super thankful for that because im confident about a test i did today. last 2 periods were free periods and i was too tired to do anything so i sat and watched some korean dramas while my very tiny friend somehow curled herself and managed to fall asleep in a fetal position on a small one person couch. it was adorable. when school ended my year went to explore the newly built gym which has one threadmill, one cycling thing and one more thing that gives you abs. i went home at 4.30 and ate some grapes, meat and showered. then i had my dinner of chee cheong fun and mango ice blended which was really nice but i have to say, my lunch was a lil nicer! ma made me dry noodles with my favourite poached egg and i live poached eggs. the wet yolk really is the best thing. it's 10 now and im a going to continue sleeping. see you lovelies

end of week one

welcome, people on the internet! i just had my shower and i am feeling nice and cozy, drowsy and ditsy. today school ended like 2 hours early because it's friday but it's been a longer day than any other. i sat through many hours of subject introduction for no reason and it's been tiring but im mad cause it was totally unnecessary. so how has 3 days of school been? on a 1-10 scale with 10 being the best, i'd give it a 7. it's been fun to go to school and have no lessons but laugh and act silly. also this year i already have few compliments from little kids and teachers saying how cute i am. i like that.
the cutest thing happened this morning. a friend who my class hasnt seen in more than a year was at school and we were told that she was walking up the stairs so me and another friend went running through the corridor and my bestie was walking out of the washroom and saw us running so followed and the 3 of us were adorably running through the corridor and yay we saw her.
yesterday something really funny happened. bestie was like having this game, uni challenge and she wanted the teams to be mixed classes. my class didnt want that so we didnt mix and i guess because we were a smaller team, the other class won. i laughed a bit.
im going home to ipoh in a while so im going to have my things packed up now. also maybe catch a few z's. see ya lovelies.

happy first day of work?!

hello everybody here!! i hope it's been a nice day for you! my mood is super and i hope to emit some of that happy giddiness to you. today started early at 7am  and i am so happy that i was awake! i actually could have slept longer but i wanted to move about too. breakfasted and showered in 20 mins tops. and guys it's a relief that my jeans still fit. so i had my my lappie in my bag and my lunch in my hand and then off we went!! i was the first in class to reach school but thats okay because i stopped in the hallway to chat with a couple of teachers. i met my juniors first thing, and we talked until my bestie came and then we all talked, met the new people in charge of us and then toured the new classroom before heading to the hall for announcements. this is like the only unpleasant part of today. it was the last hour or more of assembly left and someone decided to let a certain employee which is totally rubbing me the wrong way, give notices about food or something. anyways her appearance gave me a headache so i closed my eyes and napped for a bit with my friends like looking out. and when i lifted my face, my contact lenses fell out!!! *dramatic music plays* it was a new 1 month contacts and i barely wore it for 3 hours!!! AHH!!!! also you would think a frequent wearer would pack a case with her to school but i only started wearing then end of last year so dont judge. anyways i was pretty mad about that and my friend wasnt much help, gagging at my lenses and making gurgling sounds. i actually texted my mom halfway through break to let her know and i felt better telling someone about it.
i miraculously navigate my way around, with one eye and it was okay so i honestly had nothing to worry about. after dinner i went to the drugstore to get so eyedrops and solution. all good!
i had a session with the new coordinator people and i sat really to the front to get a good view and sound. we introduced ourselves and then speeches blah blah. i had plenty laughs here. then there was games. the guys were lucky i had a tablet, since we were playing heading heads up.
sissy came to get me at 4pm and im so happy she did cause i didnt want to stay long on day 1. she'll be heading to ipoh tomorrow. i'll miss her.
yesterday night i made an online purchase. ma was ordering our facial cleansers and i saw they had essence on the online store. and chance would have it that i was researching korean beauty secrets that day. see, with the awareness that korean dude surpass white dudes in terms of handsome-bility, i thought why not do a bit of digging. apparently, koreans love essence and accredit it to their looks. other than that they also consume, inject, live, breathe collagen. i have seen collagen drinks and i found that it's good to start drinking collagen in your 20's to avoid having cellulite so any skin defects when youre older. since i plan on being forever young i want to take good care of myself. they arent cheap but i guess it is to be expected. ma doesnt agree with with all these hullabaloo. says it might be bad for you and stuff. but if it were bad i wouldnt think cosway would be selling it too. im not going to fight her so i will see what essence will actually do for me. i was very curious about what my friend who is sciency thinks of these collagen stuff. her take is that your body might not be able to absorb all that collagen so it might just go straight through you. what a waste. will it be enough to make it to the places you want it to go like your face?

HAPPY NEW YEAR

hello earth marshmellowsss!! HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! AND HAVE A GREAT ONE TOO!! it's finally 2017 and you know, in the weeks leading up to today, i have read and seen to many articles and vids saying how bad '16 has been for the whole world. i dont think it was that bad a year but this year will surely be a better one. some people only think that '16 was bad because of all the celebrities' deaths but dont they get that some people are old and that even celebs are mortal so they arent like immune to death or anything. plus this sort of thing happens every year so they're just finding reasons.
yesterday i had like a watchnight service thing happening at church and not that im a bad christian or anything but i wouldnt have gone if i could help it. sissy was scripture reading so i wanted to support her and then she got excited so she skipped a line but no one knew and she had to make it obvious by getting flustered. i got a cracker and ribena too. i had my tablet so i was on it most of the time. it ended at midnight and i got to go home with full assurance that i dont want to attend these special services
yesterday i spent the afternoon watching this super cool movie THE GREAT WALL. it's lit. and the best part is they got actual chinese actors to play the chinese characters. theres all that issues with Hollywood white washing and i legit see it happening. it got me most vexed when i saw avatar the last airbender. everyone there was white and he's a freaking buddhist monk and his friends are all white. i love avatar so much. i really do. i watched it all the time when it was airing and i watched it online and i watched the dvds. i even tried meditating, imagining my body glowing and some elements around me moving. i loved it even more than harry potter. okay i think i have made myself clear. so it wasnt all facts in the movie. they were just playing out a legend of the tao tei. like dragons with green blood. the animation of like the animals were really good and the props were bomb. so they had like huge catapults and swords and shields!! so cool! also it's my first time hearing of mat damon and i think he's super handsome!
i am about to go watch the last episode of coffee prince. it's this korean series that aired in 2007 and i have watched it before so im watching it for the second time. in short, it's about this tomboyish girl who got hired in a cafe who hired guys only but she needed the money and looked like a dude so she worked there and fell in love with the boss who is a guy and the boss feels for her too but thinks she's a dude. he finds out and im rooting for them to get married but his mean grandmother is getting in the way. i have to find out and i will tell you later. see ya lovelies
