super fun week in kl with my daddy!!!

hello gorgeous people!! i'm back in my super secret location after the most fun week of my holiday in KL. i was there since the sem break started but school will reopen again next monday and i think it's too soon. the last sem was a tough one with most of my subjects being killer subjects but thank God i made it through and im super happy. i plan on taking it easy next sem with only five subjects so i can spend more time on this blog too! yay!!
during my week in kl i bought new clothes, ate good food and watched a couple of movies. clothes and movies will get their own separate post later but now i really want to talk about the foodddd!! the best memory i have with my daddy this holiday is when he took me to burger lab for the first time. it was so cool! ive always wanted to go and we finally did and the burgers were soooo good!! we had a lot of good food this time round but burger lab with my dad was the coolest! i took a bunch of pics but they all went missing and i was super upset about that. i still wanna talk about it though.
i got to do all the ordering and the menu was the coolest ever. each burger had cute names so i went for the cutest ones i could see. i had a beef burger called, The Juicy Lucy and it was so yummy and big too. there was bacon wrapped around the patty and hot melted cheese in the middle of the patty. i remember it squirted on my face when i bit into it and it was so funny. daddy had a chicken burger, an Ivysaur and it was the best burger my dad could get cause my mom's name is Ivy haha!! it was good but the egg in it made it soggy and i found the batter a bit to salty.

MY FAV MEMORY
the first meal i had in this kl trip was actually in Shah Alam. sissy took me to this cafe and i loved it!! mainly because they had waffles and waffles are everything!! the name of the cafe confused me a bit cause it was the same name as a popular clothing brand so they could be the same company trying to branch out. look how yummy my peach waffles look!! the toast and eggs were good too.
PEACH WAFFLES ARE EVERYTHING
My mom joined my dad and i in kl for the weekend and took us out on a super fun family meal at Naught Nuris. its our favourite place to get ribs! the food and the ambiance were all amazing! the restaurant is an indonesian food specialty place so their menu is like a cross of indonesian flavours and western dishes. i need to talk about their ribs cause they are like the best ribs in the world. its sweet and spicy and the meat falls off the bone and melts in your mouth. ah! the sauce is so good too! so syrupy! we like their fried noodles and rice too cause they come with more pork and crispy toppings. the salad was bomb too cause they topped it with extra crispy pork skin.

FANCY INDOMIE😘
i did a lot of fun things this time round in KL but i didnt manage to get a vlog done cause i didnt pack my camera but i guess i can save that for another trip. during this trip i managed to get mt two favourite snacks. one has been a long time favourite of mine and the other, a new snack i discovered. i have always liked bubble tea and Koi has been my favorite for a long time. the golden bubble pearl milk tea is the best and i managed to get mine in Midvalley. yay!
my new discovery is the fun franks from nathans and i loved it!! you get to pick between beef or chicken sausages and then it gets dunk in batter and then deep fried on a skewer! how fun!! it was crispy and like a deep fried sausage bun so yummy!! they had a pretty extensive menu but the sausages were so yummy! also gotta love their fries! their fries are so thick and you can get them plain or with an assortment of cheesy toppings. i got really happy when i found out they came with a super cute fries fork. its a special red stick just for eating fries. the fork is somewhere in my bag and when i get it i'll post a picture.
its friday today and i just found out that i managed to get car sticker for the coming sem that starts on monday. yay!! it's actually lunch time right now and im going to get something to eat. laters alligator πŸ’“πŸ’“πŸ’“

my attempt at organization

hello gorgeous people!! i know its been a while since i had an update and i missed updating you guys so here's whats been up. it's getting towards the end of the semester so very clearly busy busy busy!! but among my busy study schedule, i have been looking forward to tell you guys about me trying to get more organized. it started off with my underwear. i bought a 16 slot underwear organizer that is so cute and pink and it keeps up with the pink theme of my room. i got this online on lazada and thought it was pretty cool especially for rm 6 during a sale. the hanger didnt come with it so what youre seeing is the one i slipped in to hang in my cupboard.
the next thing i got was a watch display case. i decided i needed one when i took a long time to decide which watch matched my outfit of the day and then finding where i put them. also they kept falling off my tiny dresser. i ordered this through a friend and honestly i have no regrets. it looks so so cool and i like the shiny aluminium base and the cool glass display window. classy is what it is! look at it!
the last thing i got was so cool i ordered two, one for me and one for my mom!! we are both big fans of accessories especially earrings so it make sense that we got these. it's a cute, clear, plastic box with 3 drawers for your earrings and necklaces. i actually dont have enough earrings to fill up all the slots but i do plan on having it filled by semester break. shopping time! earrings actually do wonders for framing your face and it makes you look so girly its amazing! i saw it on shoppee and knew i had to have it. its actually a lot easy to use like any storage drawer except this one is so cute!
so these are the 3 organizers that i have gotten and im thinking off getting a shoe organizer next. i have to get my dinner now. see you later alligator πŸ’“

FIVE FEET APART REVIEW

hello gorgeous people!! my update schedule has been a bit backed up cause ive just been crazy busy and when im not busy im crazy lazy. this week is a pretty relaxed week school wise since most classes have already ended in preparation for finals.
this post is gonna be about a book i read a couple weeks back, Five Feet Apart, by like 3 authors i havent heard of before until this book. the title didnt really call our to me but i got interested once i watched the trailer and saw my teen crush, Cole Sprouse!!! AHHH he's so so soo good in Riverdale!! i was gonna watch the movie with my sister but we couldnt get tickets and so i bought the book intead. to be perfectly honest, i didnt have very high expectations because i kept hearing that it was like the ugly twin of The fault in our Stars. i love the fault in ours stars so much that if i were only able to watch one movie for the rest of my life, it'd be the one. i remember crying in the cinema watching TFIOS and then getting cake after that, still drenched in tears. it was such a good movie.
if i had any positive expectation though, id be incredibly disappointed. for starters, i dont like books that changes the narrator every chapter. one moment we're seeing things in Stella's point of view and the next we're looking at Will's. plus, do you hear how cheesy the character's names are?!
like most romance novels, theyre both dying teenagers, here to teach us to appreciate what we've got going for us and that true love conquers all. maybe if i were a 9 year old i'd like it and not to say that im skeptical about feeling and shyt but like, some people should really get over themselves.
the storyline was a bit to draggy and slow going, not exactly my style. but the worst thing for me was the ending. goodness, the ending made me want to rip my hair out! how unrealistic is it to throw your whole future away for a guy you just met and barely know. if she hadnt gotten the transplant, id rip the book apart. also, i was too steamed about that to get mad at the cliffhanger ending. so they got over each other in 8 months and finally meet again by complete coincidence. what was that?!?! do they get back together? no? well we wouldnt know. but what i do know that it's a window for a sequel and im not so sure if thats going to be the smartest way for me to blow my money.
Ive got to get back to my school work now and i think i'll be filming a youtube video later. haha see you later alligator

weekend adventure to KL

hello gorgeous people!! this post comes a bit late but i have been crazy busy and i think im bound to get busier in the coming few weeks. to take a break from my crazy uni life, i treated myself to a trip to KL last weekend. i took a train right after i aced my ecommerce test in the morning. the trip there was fine except that i was on a seat next to an old dude who kept his legs spread so wide it was too close to me for comfort. like i need a personal space barrier!!!! i reached on time, got on an lrt and then had a super yummy dinner with my dad. we had hokkien fried noodles with lala soup and fried noodles is like my favourite thing like EVER!! it was so good and it was my first time having lala soup and i LOVED it!! it was a tiny weenie bit spicy cause of the chili padi and ginger but the lala was plump and fresh and the soup was sweet from the goji berries so it was super good!! i had ice cream with fruit too after dinner.
the next day i woke up later than usual probably cause of all the travelling i did the day before. it was too late to go get a croissant breakfast that i like so i went to a coffee shop that sold something similar but it wasnt as good. but i had a pretty good bowl of beef noodles with really tender meat slices.
we went to 1 utama after that and i was super excited to get my all time favourite bubble tea, Koi!!! its the best but you can only get it in kl so i always make sure i get my fill. i love their pearls. i also shopped around and got earrings and a pair of gudetama socks.
I went to a different mall later that night, Atria, and i wanted to get some food that my friend and i could do a youtube video with but there was nothing interesting for a food challenge. i like KL supermarts in shopping malls tho, the variety is endless. and thats how were able to get this brand of luncheon meat that we like, golden bridge. the best canned meat there ever was!
on my last day i woke up bright and early because sissy was gonna take me out to breakfast to the actual OG croissant place and good thing we went early too cause the parking was good and so was the table. i had a ham and cheese croissant with roti kahwin on the side. then we went to the mall for a while and i bought some clothes from Cotton On which were on sale and they were so so cute and so so cheap. honestly i have got to start talking about my style and clothes soon. i have so many style tips and accessories i want to talk about. i could yak about it forever so that will take time but it's coming soon yalls!
maybe it'll come sooner than you'd think. i have to go take a nap now, this new gelato scented candle i got from Bath and Body Works is making me sleepy. see you later alligator

Welcoming our latest addition to the family

Hello gorgeous people!! it's a sunny Sunday and i have just taken a nice cold shower after completing my chores. its a pretty warm day and ive been hearing a lot about a super intense heatwave going around malaysia. take care guys! water's always good for you. i'll be fine because im a hermit and i rarely leave the safety of my home so everything will be chill on my end.
im excited for the new week ahead. have a presentation and a computer test lined up but nothing too major. the hell weeks of the semester have already passed. this week will also be my family's first week with our brand new car!! we just drove our new baby home from the store yesterday and it was such a rush. this car is also the first car that has my name under it's registration and thats pretty cool cause it means im part owner. i like this feeling of owning something so adult. i felt this way too when i was 16 and i got my first laptop, like i was such the adult, that i have everything put together. the Ooi's have 3 cars now and we're so thankful for God's provision!
Im actually car illiterate so i cant tell you all the fancy insider guts of this car's abilities but what i do know is it's a Produa Beza. its brown but a bit purple like the colour of a mild bruise. the boot space is huge enough to fit a couple of pigs and you can also fit a few more in the back seat. yup super spacious. the insides are super cool too! theres a functioning radio, bluetooth connection and a lot of fancy buttons that do stuff that i dont know about! there's really so many buttons cause the door opens with a button and a sensor and the engine starts with yes, another button too!!
my dad and i had a really funny experience with the car yesterday. we were at a gas station, filling up the tank, and we were both out of the car. i think he locked the doors as we were getting it filled and this car has a futuristic unlocking system so its kinda complex. he managed to unlock his driver side door but we spent i think a good 10 minutes just trying to get my door opened. i dont know what happened too but it opened after a while and i just laughed about it on the way home.
we took the car to the mall yesterday and we'll be taking out to dinner in a couple of hours. this car will take us on a super many cool adventures next time and i cant wait to write all about it.

so how was your weekend?πŸ˜˜πŸ’“πŸ’“

the most adult moment of my life- i rented a room

hello gorgeous people!! it's finally friday and i feel like its been such a long week. this weekend will be a fun one though. our family has got really exciting news... we're expanding our family!! yup, that's right y'all's!! tmr at 2pm, we'll be going to collect OUR BRAND NEW CARRR!! we're all super excited for this and we're really very blessed. i could go on about it but i think ill have have a special post for it tmr and i can upload some pictures too once we get it.
this week has been eventful and when i say 'this week' i actually just want to focus on my yesterday and today. yesterday was the day that i rented a room for the first time in my life. ive gone through five semesters of university so far and ive been so blessed that until now ive never had to worry about rent, bills, meals and taking care of myself in general. i guess an adult moment like this is bound to happen to everyone at one point of their lives but i never saw it coming for me. there are so many things to be excited about like i dont have to do chores for a whole house anymore or i dont have to do my own laundry anymore cause i have a laundromat service. and the whole usual first-time-experience ecstasy! there are also parts that scare me greatly and i think about such things a lot that they keep me up on some nights. i have to live with other students, what if theyre not friendly?what if this new house has many bugs? and i have to decide on my own meals now what if dont know what to buy or what to make. what if my allowance runs out too fast? i need to learn to plan my spending now and i have never ever done that. i've studied a unit in accounting and another in finance but will i use that theory in real life now?
Anyways back to me getting a room. the decision to move in May was super rushed. it's only two months away and i know most new students and current students looking to move have already started booking rooms way ahead for the coming new semester. i was a bit behind so i didnt have much time on doing a through research on accommodations and synthesizing all that information to make a well judged decision. throughout it all my friends have been a good help in giving me advice. would i rather be under a management or  a private owner? house or condo? cycling distance or driving distance? if i choose management which management would give me a better service, KT or Danish? front row houses or the old back part ones? what happens when i leave on my internship?
in the flurry of the moment all that was clear was i needed a room in a house, under a management and in the front row, with the lake view and with a bigger parking area. also i wanted a room on the ground floor cause my lazy ass doesnt like stairs so much and plus what if i need to carry heavy junk?
i ended up with quite the nice room actually. its near to a bustop and checks all the boxes. of course because of the rush to book a room so i wouldnt end up without one, we're slowly realizing all the cracks in our plan. a room in the ground floor at the front would mean less privacy for me cause theres a big big window facing the porch. and it'll be the noisiest one too. ground floor is also the target rooms for any burglaries. but i dont think i'll worry about such things for now. i really need to get focus on my school work and the upcoming exams in 3 weeks. once im done with that im sure everything else will fall into place.
im not going to worry too much.  Philippians 4:6-7 says, 6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
sleep tight everyone. goodnight

Valentine's day recap 2019 - dinner at e-hub Kampar

Hello all you gorgeous people!! in my previous post i mentioned the super fancy meal i had a couple weeks back but then yesterday i remembered a fancy dinner i had that would give Durbar a run for their money. for valentines day this year, i pulled all the stops. i bought flowers and a fancy dinner for my mom. i had ordered a rose bouquet weeks in advanced knowing the stores would be busy, and since i knew id be having classes, i had them delivered straight to her at her workplace. she was so stoked! much excited indeed! she took pictures and was super happy!
for dinner, i took her to this fancy bar lounge place, e-hub in kampar. the ground floor is a restaurant and the entertainment center with the karaoke and pool tables are all on the upper floors. i'd say its fancy cause there's a stage at the front of the restaurant where they sometimes have live music playing and they also serve liquor so thats always fancy!
e-hub had a special valentines day 3-course menu and of course we had to try it. we started off with a seared hokkaido scallop on a bed of salad. i cant recall what the dressing was but i remember it being super citrus-y. the scallop was huge and really unlike the tiny pink ones you get when you buy frozen ones for your steamboat. we then ordered one of each of the choices of entrees so we tried a chicken roulade and a salmon dish which came with the same sides, just different sauce and different protein. i think i preferred the chicken. it came on a deep fried polenta cake and salad and a truffle butter sauce which was bomb. the meal ended with a dessert of frozen tiramisu and it came with a nice caramel sauce but it could do without. anyways it was a really good meal overall. the gin and juice was good too of course (hehehe!)
im super thankful to have had celebrated the event with my family and it really made me appreciate how loved i am by my parents especially. sometimes as a 'soloist' people tend to draw assumptions about your happiness which i think they shouldnt. i am loved and thats all i need to know.
